The Care Coalition

Care Coalition logo img 180x180px.png

The Care Coalition empowers local churches to build and sustain a community-wide network of support, ensuring that every child in foster care has a caring family and the resources to thrive.

Our mission is to provide a pathway for people of faith and goodwill, in partnership with DCBS, to help solve the child welfare crisis. Our work exists to support and strengthen the broader ecosystem—not to replace or compete with it. We recognized that Louisville needed someone to stand in the gap to focus on uniting the community around this mission.

The Care Coalition envisions a future where every child has a caring home and a supportive community, and where the Church is celebrated as the frontline of foster care.

Our Core Values

1

Compassion:

We are driven by a deep sense of empathy for children in need and for the families and churches who care for them. This value means we approach every interaction with kindness, understanding, and a desire to serve with love.

2

Collaboration:

We believe we are stronger together. We actively work to unite churches, foster parents, and community partners, fostering a spirit of mutual support and shared purpose to create a robust network of care.

3

Empowerment:

We equip churches and families with the tools, training, and resources they need to succeed. Our role is to empower others, enabling them to confidently and effectively answer the call to serve children in foster care.
